After more than 30 years of dedicated service to Metro Boiler Tube Co., Inc.,
Co-Owner and Project Manager Tom Cawood is retiring.
Tom's last day will be April 1, 2026.
A Distinguished Career & Ownership
Tom joined Metro Boiler Tube on February 21, 1994, as Shop Superintendent, where he provided exceptional leadership and oversight of our shop operations until 2003.
Recognizing his attention to detail and commitment to excellence, Tom transitioned to Quality Control in 2003, ensuring that Metro Boiler Tube maintained the highest standards in every project.
Since 2008, Tom has served as Project Manager, where he has successfully led countless projects to completion. His expertise, professionalism, and commitment have left a lasting impact on our company and all those who have had the privilege of working with him.
Beyond his operational roles, Tom has been a Co-Owner of Metro Boiler Tube, playing a pivotal role in the company's strategic direction, growth, and success over the decades. His ownership and leadership have helped shape Metro Boiler Tube into the industry-leading company it is today.
Throughout his 30+ year tenure, Tom has exemplified the values that Metro Boiler Tube was founded upon, and his legacy will continue to inspire us for years to come.

As Tom begins his well-deserved retirement, we are pleased to announce that Scott Bell will be assuming the role of Project Manager, effective April 1, 2026.
Scott brings extensive qualifications and expertise to this position, holding certifications as a Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) Level III Technician and Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). His technical knowledge and commitment to quality make him an ideal successor to Tom's legacy.
Scott has been working closely with Tom during this transition period to ensure continuity in project management, quality standards, and customer satisfaction. We are confident that Scott will uphold the high standards Tom established and continue to drive excellence in every project.
