Description: Metro Boiler Tube Co., Inc is looking for a full-time Purchasing Agent.

Responsibilities:

• Material Sourcing & Scheduling: Procure high-quality raw materials (carbon steel, alloy tubing, plate, fittings) ensuring strict alignment with production deadlines.
• Inventory Control: Collaborate with managers to monitor inventory levels, verify received shipments, and optimize material stocking to prevent production delays.
• Vendor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with specialty suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable lead times.
• Financial Reconciliation Generate, track, and update purchase orders (POs). Work alongside the accounting department to cross-reference POs, bills of lading, and invoices to ensure precise job costing.

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience may be accepted in place of formal education

Preferred Qualifications:
